Benefits Package
Medical/Prescriptions
Coverage for employees, spouses and children; including online wellness services is available. This benefit is effective the date of employment. Example: If you're hired on 11/24, you'd be eligible on 11/24.
Plus, an added benefit, the Bank pays all but $1 a month of the employee’s premium cost.
Dental
Employee dental premium is 100% employer paid. Coverage for your spouse and children is available at an affordable rate.
Vision
A standard and enhanced plan is available at affordable rates for our employee, their spouse and children.
Group Life Insurance/AD&D
100% employer paid premium for employee coverage for 3 x salary up to $300,000.
Additional Life Insurance
This program allows employees to purchase additional life insurance for themselves and their dependents.
Short-Term Disability
Income protection coverage paid by the bank for employees prevented from working due to a short-term injury/illness.
Long-Term Disability
100% employer paid income protection for employees prevented from working due to a long-term illness.
401k
Pre-tax retirement savings plan with Basic and Roth options. Plus, a Safe Harbor Matching Contribution: 100% employer match on the first 3% and a 50% employer match on the next 2%.
AFLAC Supplementary Insurance
Supplementary insurance products are available at employee cost. We offer 4 Aflac options: Accident, Critical Care, Cancer, and Hospital.
Cafeteria Plan
We offer 2 Cafeteria Plans:
Flexible Spending Account (FSA)
Allows your employees to pay for certain health care expenses on a pre-tax basis through salary reduction. Employee's taxable income is reduced, thus increasing take home pay.
Dependent Care Assistance Plan (DCAP)
Employees may hold back as much as $5,000 annually of their pre-tax salary for dependent care expenses. Qualified dependent care expenses may include the care of a child under the age of 13, daycare for parents, care for a disabled spouse or a dependent incapable of caring for himself/herself, and certain summer day camps.
Group Accident
Accidents occur everywhere, everyday. Accidents, by their sudden nature, can find families financially unprepared, unless insurance is available to provide security when an income earner meets with unexpected death or loses use of a limb or limbs. This wonderful benefit is paid by First Bank of the Lake.
Paid Time Off (PTO)
Paid time off ranges from 18 up-to 26 days depending on position (see employee handbook for details). Paid time off begins accruing immediately upon employment.
Holidays
Paid time off according to the holiday calendar observed by the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis. Paid afternoon off when Christmas Eve falls on a business day.
Bereavement Leave
Paid time off to grieve the loss of family members.
